NEWS: I successfully defended my PhD (proof picture) and will start my postdoc at MIT in October. My defense slides and a screencast video are available.

I'm a research assistant in the INET group at Technische Universität Berlin. I work in the field of Internet Measurement, advised by Anja Feldmann. In the summer of 2015, I was a research intern in the Custom Analytics Group at Akamai in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In the summers of 2013 and 2014, I was a visiting researcher at ICSI in Berkeley, California.

My ongoing research centers around Internet topology measurements, routing, and traffic classification. In my PhD work I explore the phenomenon of IPv4 address space exhaustion and its consequences for the Internet and its stakeholders.

My research was awarded with a Best Paper Award at ACM IMC 2016, an IRTF Applied Networking Research Prize 2017, and selected "Best of CCR" in 2015.
